The Fabulous Planktones were formed in Glendale California in 1984 by guitarists Marty , Kevin and Jim Tippens and drummers Rory Carey and Sean Bullock. The band played the So Cal area in the mid ‘80’s and went on a long hiatus.  The Fabulous Planktones reformed in 1997 adding Jon Green on bass and Art Chianello on drums and have been playing clubs and recording. Two albums, "Surfin' at the Sinbad" (Oct. 2001) and "Makin' the Scene!" (July 2003) were released on El Toro records.
